The estate

Domaine de La ROCHE AIGUË is located just outside Auxey-Duresses, in the hamlet of Melin, 12km from Beaune as you head towards Autun and in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. This hamlet sits at the entrance to a hilly coombe, an unspoilt location set in a beautiful valley. It is here that the vine was first planted in Burgundy in the 2nd century BC.
Domaine de La Roche Aigüe was created by Florence and Eric Guillemard in 1992, after leaving the family domaine of the same name.
The 13 hectares of vineyards cover the appellations of Auxey-Duresses, Saint-Romain, Meursault and Pommard. The wines are subjected to short ageing periods in order to preserve the fruit and the result is a nice balance of fullness, firmness and liveliness. They embody a simple and accessible Burgundy that focuses on quality.
