The TUPINIER family has been growing wine in Mercurey, at the heart of the Côte chalonnaise since 1770 but it was in 1997 that Manu BAUTISTA succeeded his stepfather, Jacques TUPINIER. He then took over the 8 hectare estate, which he developed to a current surface area of 11 hectares of Mercurey appellation, cultivated with sustainable agricultural methods. After manual harvesting and a traditional winemaking process, the wines are matured in oak wood casks in the 17th century cellar dug into the rocks. The wines of the estate are fine, well-balanced and pleasantly structured.
