The estate

The "Cave coopérative de la Vigne-Blanche" winery located in Clessé brings together the talents of wine growers from the Côte Mâconnaise. It was founded in 1927 by wine growers keen to constantly improve the quality of their wine.

The wines from Viré-Clessé have obtained numerous awards over the years which has led to them obtaining AOC status in 1998. This AOC will build the fame and reputation of the "Cave de la Vigne-Blanche". Viré-Clessé is made from Chardonnay grapes and various types of wine are available (old vines, aged in oak barrels, etc.). The "Cave coopérative de Clessé" also produces Mâcon, Mâcon-Villages, Bourgogne and Crémant de Bourgogne appellation wines from the hills near the Saone River.
