The estate

Domaine GLANTENET Père & Fils is located on the edge of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. It extends over 25 hectares split over five districts: Pernand Vergelesses, Corgoloin, Echevronne, Villers-la-Faye and Magny-les-Villers. The origin of the Domaine dates back to the 18th century when it practiced mixed farming. After the "Hautes-Côtes de Nuits" and "Hautes-Côtes de Beaune" obtained AOC status in 1961, the family turned to wine growing which had previously just been a sideline. Raymond Glantenet, the grandfather, and Jean Glantenet, the father, doubled the size of the vineyard area. At the time the entire harvests were being sold to wine traders. Since 1997, Jean-François, the son, assisted by his wife Valérie, has been running the Domaine and has taken it in a new direction: the vineyards are managed using sustainable practices and the wine is sold in bottles.
