Domaine Marchand Frères in Morey-Saint-Denis has been in existence for seven generations. In 1983, it expanded with the acquisition of an old winemaker's house in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin. In 1999, Denis Marchand took over the management of the Domaine, assisted by his brother, Jean-Philippe. Domaine Marchand covers 8.5 hectares spread over the Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin districts. It produces many Premiers Crus: "Les Sentiers" in Chambolle, "Le Clos des Ormes" and "Faconnières" in Morey, as well as Grands Crus: "Le Clos de la Roche" in Morey, "Griottes-Chambertin" and "Charmes Chambertin" in Gevrey. The Domaine has the distinction of producing a white Morey-Saint-Denis, "Le Très Girard," a magnificent, firm and opulent wine.
