Domaine des HERITIERS SAINT-GENYS is domiciled in the heart of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. It is run by Patrice du Jeu, a descendant of the Saint-Genys family. After working in the restaurant trade (a restaurant in Paris) and agriculture (a cattle farm), Patrice du Jeu set up as a wine producer in 2011. This major life change now sees him managing 13-hectares of vines. The domaine has the monopoly of the 7.5-hectare Clos Marcilly, as well as other vineyards spread between the Côte Chalonnaise and the Côte de Beaune. When he recovered Clos Marcilly in 2011, it had been abandoned. He had to tidy up the vineyards as well as in the buildings. But now, thanks to the new impetus provided by Patrice du Jeu and some of his family members, the domaine has restored its "climats" to their former glory. The vines are sustainably-grown and the wines are aged in cellars in the purest Burgundy tradition.
