Domaine LATHUILIERE-GRAVALLON has existed in Villié-Morgon in the heart of the Beaujolais region for 5 generations. In 2013, Cedric LATHUILIERE and his wife, Cathy GRAVALLON, took over the Domaine which had been run for years by Cathy's parents, Renée and Fernand GRAVALLON. The vineyard consists of 15 hectares of vines spread over 6 appellations: Chiroubles, Fleurie, Morgon, Brouilly, Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages. As the plots are located on hillsides with gradients between 20 and 40%, most of the vineyard work is carried out by hand, as is the harvest, with a careful sorting of the grapes from the start of harvest. The Domaine's philosophy is to practice sustainable viticulture which minimizes treatments as far as possible and bans herbicides and chemical products in favour of treatments and fertilizers. Respectful of the skills of their ancestors and mindful of the needs of their terroir, Cedric Lathuilière and his wife produce fruity wines in which tradition and modernity are in perfect balance.
